HPE Aruba Networking User Experience Insight Wi-Fi 6E Sensor is the first hardware sensor in the market that monitors the Wi-Fi 6E environment. The sensor is equipped with dual radios for monitoring tri-band operation 2.4/5/6 GHz and comes with differentiated features like Off-Band monitoring, enhanced Wi-Fi environment analysis and new metrics. In addition to network and application performance test results, the new 6Ghz Sensors will display SNR, QBSS (Client count, Airtime usage and airtime availability), client count derived from packet capture and improved channel usage (broken out by Wi-Fi traffic and spurious energy percentages) giving visibility into the noise in the environment and the number of clients affected by ongoing issues.
Off-Band monitoring
Our second radio will constantly round robin test BSSIDs within the SSID target under test in line with our typical client testing, gathering retry rates, channel usage, client counts, traffic breakdown (% of management data and control frames), BSSID color, a count of clients that have roamed to a BSSID and authentication timings for clients.
Enhanced Wi-Fi environment
New changes to the Wi-Fi environment analysis tab will make use of the above stats to allow users to compare the performance of BSSIDs near the sensor, giving greater visibility into the surrounding networks and their performance as well as allowing you to look back at historical data in this view.
